Mr Egleton.

Mr Egleton was born in 1940 with a club left foot and deformed ankle joint and later in childhood contracted polio,
he lived with his family on a remote farm during WWII.
As the country was at war his condition was stabilised and his foot deformities were left untreated, as he grew older it was noticed that his leg growth had become restricted and the muscles were weak due to polio.
in the 1950s his doctor sent him to see a surgeon who assesed Mr Egleton and found that there was nothing that they could do to improve his condition so it was left at that .
Mr Egleton has over time had to go from just an ankle brace and surgical boot with a 1 1/2 inch raise to a full leg brace to support his deformed anlke joint, an insole to help support his turned under foot and surgical boot with a 3 1/2 inch raise.

These Pictures were taken and with Mr Egletons kind help and are displayed with his full permission.
