Although this is obviously not a short leg I thought it
may be of interest
to show that it is not only legs that suffer from shortening.
I first saw this guy about a year ago now as he was walking
along the high street with a briefcase,
as he was walking ahead of me i could not help but notice
his short arm tucked behind his back.
after a short distance he stopped at his car, so i thought
i would ask him about his arm.
The guy was not at all taken by my question and was very
relaxed and informative and told me that hes was born with the bone in
his upper arm not formed corectly and his forearm fused to it at the shoulder
joint although the arm is bent there is no elbow joint
some of the upper arm muscles are not present, although
there is movement in the arm most of the motive power is carried out by
the now over developed forearm muscles.
The chap invited me to grip his arm and demonstrated
the range of movement and power.
I explained to him about this site and my general interest
short legs and he invited me to take some pictures.
